Franklin County Auditor Clarence Mingo Announces Candidacy for State Treasurer
Mingo to bring “New Generation of Conservative Leadership” to Ohio
COLUMBUS – Franklin County Auditor Clarence Mingo today announced his candidacy to be Ohio’s next State Treasurer.
“It’s time for a new generation of conservative leadership in Ohio,” said Mingo. “As Franklin County Auditor I’ve cracked down on fraud and government waste and safeguarded taxpayer dollars, returning millions back to our local governments and schools. I want to bring that same conservative philosophy to the Treasurer’s Office and the citizens of our great state.”
Mingo’s campaign today also released a video online titled “Service,” which highlights Mingo’s early childhood in public housing in Canton through his two terms as Franklin County Auditor.
A proud conservative who is strongly pro-life and pro-Second Amendment, Mingo is also a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, helping liberate Kuwait during the Persian Gulf War.
Mingo is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his law degree. He is married to his high school sweetheart Angela and father to two girls.
“Nothing is more important to me than my family, my faith, and serving others,” Mingo said.
